Smile 2005 Roadtrek 190 popular

I just purchased a 2005 Roadtrek 190 Popular. The previous owner had added the option for a closet and armoire. I would like to remove the armoire and replace it with the lounge seat. Would anyone like to trade a seat for the armoire? Our would anyone like to sell a lounge seat?

Are you sure it is a Popular and not a Versatile? The armoire was the only one that was optional on a Popular and interchanged with the passenger side 3rd seat.

It's a fantastic option if it is only one or two traveling....the extra storage is great.

That's the same floor plan as what was in the '04 190P I had. There was a closet behind the driver seat and the armoire was on the passenger side.

It was built-in and not removable without some deconstruction IIRC.

I posted some photos of the armoire here: http://www.classbforum.com/forums/f1...9.html#post751

The early 190s like in 2005 used what Roadtrek called a "permanent" armoire in place of the 3rd seat on the passenger side. A year or two later they switched to a third seat and armoir that interchanged easily on the same base. The later ones are much easier to switch out either way.

Persoanlly, I really like the older armoir as it has lots of space in it, including drawers. I don't know how hare it would be to get out and put in a seat, but it would have to be removed from the floor. You would also need the seat base and the seat belts to complete the swap. Hopefully, they didn't cut off or remove the seat belt mounts to put in the "permanent" armoir.

There is a pic of it in the 2005 Roadtrek brochure that you can look at on the Roadtrek website.
