2005 Airstream Westfalia

Airstream Sprinter Westfalia Mercedes Diesel Class C motorhome RV No Reserve | eBay

Haven't seen this model before. It has a lot of unusual features such as:

The dinette bed folding configuration
A chest style fridge
Microwave behind a cabinet door
and the laundry lines in the bathroom.

Did somebody import this from Europe?

It's a Class B camper van, not a Class C. They were sold by Airstream for a couple of years around 2005. I think they sold around 200 or so. It was an americanized James Cook Westfalia RV imported by Airstream and modified for the American market.

That's a really cool design. I bet it has limited appeal for the American market.

It would work well for my family though.

It didn't cost anymore than the other Sprinter Class Bs on sale at the time. I looked at them very carefully when we were shopping for our first Class B. The deciding factor in not buying one was they had an ingenious built in foot system built into the cabinetry for climbing into the upper bed instead of a simple ladder but we decided at the time it was not smart to have a B with such a climb. Then when we asked the salesman how to convert the bench seat into a bed he couldn't figure out how to do it.

Pretty neat floorplan and quality interior. I did not see a photo from the front seats down the isle to the back. But I am guessing it has cabinetry or the bath blocking the rear doors... What is behind the rear doors if you open them up?

Kinda cool, but I bet that heavy top made for some "interesting" handling characteristics.
