BSG Social Gathering September 2012 in Wisconsin

The BEE Social Group is having a fall gathering at the Hixton/Alma Center KOA in western Wisconsin just off I-94 this September 13, 14 and 15, 2012. The group informally organizes on Facebook here:

The BEE Social Group is for Class B campervan RV motorhome owners to facilitate organizing social gatherings. If you own a B, owned a B, wanna B, or just want to swarm and BS with other BSGers, this no fees, no rules group is for you.

A "social" can be as little as two Bs agreeing to meet for an overnight. Experience has shown that a maximum of about 20 or so Bs is best for someone or a group to organize and still have a cohesive all inclusive social.

A social requires an individual or group to propose a gathering, set a date, secure a location, prepare an interesting agenda and manage an attendees list through this Facebook BEE Social group. Members then would make their own arrangements.

In between socials this group is also a way to continue to "circle the lawn chairs". Take advantage of making "Wall" posts to keep us friends up to date or use the discussion boards to continue topics of B interests.

I signed up for this social gathering arriving on the 12th. The rate for a water/electric site is $30 per night and if you want full hookups including sewer the rate is $35. Those are special rates for the BSG Social and if you call the 800 number to reserve be sure to tell them it is for the BSG Social to get the lower rate.

Socials are a great way to connect with other B owners and learn things. At the last social the one new thing I took away was how to cook in an electric crockpot while driving down the road.

Since it is a want a B, had a B, have B group we will also have attendees who have moved up or over to Class As (Winnebago Via), Class Cs (Itaska Navion), a trailer and one couple is opting to stay in a camping cabin. I think the real criteria is you have to like B owners.

There are no dues, fees or membership. You just learn about where and when, and make your own reservations. Generally it is just soclal gathering around a campfire, at least one potluck dinner, often a game called Snatcho Bingo where participation is a wrapped gift of around $5 to participate and sometimes a group pay your own way dinner at a local restaurant if it can be arranged.
