Suburban propane furnace slow starting

My 95 Roadtek 210 Ppopular has a Suburban Model NT16SE furnace. When you turn the thermostat on, the blower starts in 30 to 45 seconds but the gas takes several minutes to ignite if it lights at all. How quickly should the gas ignite and is there any adjustment possible. Thank you for your input

I would remove the ignitor, clean it, file the tips to clean off contamination, adjust the gap then replace it. Things should improve. You could also replace the ignitor with a new part but I think that would require removing the furnace to get at the board connector.

A lot of times, reduced air flow will be the culprit. There is a sail switch that measures air flow in the ignition/flame control circuit that must activate to complete the circuit for ignition start up procedure to happen.

Check for mud dauber, bee's nest, or other crap in the intake and exhaust of the furnace.

No help here. Is it listed in the manual?

Before you start digging around a good first move would be to check for critter nests in the intake and/or exhaust. Have you?

I don't know why messing with the ignitor clears up a lot of furnace problems. Sometimes just removing and replacing it fixes things. If anyone knows, I'm all ears. It could have just as well been an sir flow/sail switch thing but it wasn't.
