Roadtrek Roof Seam Moulding

Are you sure it is a vinyl molding and not a heavy layer of dried out sealant.

I think many/most fiberglass roof vans used sealant.

Probably best to take it all out and replace with a good urethane sealant, if that is the case.

Do a search for "Roadtrek roof to body sealant replacing" or such and you probably get a lot of hits on Google.

It is definitively a vinyl/plastic cover moulding over the metal seam and screws that attach the fiberglass roof to the metal van body, not chalk

it snaps into the metal track that has the screws that hold the fiberglass top to the top of the van. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow. It's a Roadtrek and I thought somebody would know what I'm talking about.

I am actually surprised no one has jumped in as there are a number of the last generation of Dodge Roadtreks on the forum and it is pretty easy to see if it is strip or sealer.

Is there any indication that there had ever been sealer over the strip, as that would make perfect sense.
