need inverter?

If I am running strictly DC appliances, do I need an inverter? I don’t have a shore power hookup or any hookup to my alternator.

If that’s ok, my batteries are run in parallel on the diagonal. Is it ok to have 3 lugs coming off my battery terminal (One to charge controller, one for connecting my batteries and on for my fuse block)

an "inverter" would be used to take Direct Current and turn it into Alternating Current ( AC) usually at 110 volts.
so you can power devices which need AC current-


I don't understand your battery question.


most of use will have a battery for the "chassis" which starts the motor does the van stuff like headlights


and a 2nd ( or more) battery for the "house" or "coach" which will power the lights, fridge, tv and etc in the back


these can both be powered by the alternator, but are separated so that one battery can't drain the other.


most separators* will essentially disconnect the house battery unless the motor is running
and disconnect the chassis battery when parked ( so you can start the motor when you want to leave) and the house batteries are being used.


separators may be diode type, a simple solenoid switch or an FET type
