I am a soon to retire military soldier and am looking to buy a used class B that I can fix up. I am looking at a Dodge Xplorer 1993 230. The engine is probably the best part about it; drives strong, mechanically sound 160,000 miles. It is missing the generator, fridge is broken, and it did not ever appear to have the rooftop A/C. They are asking $3900. Couple of questions, 1) Are the xplorers a good option for a fixer upper i.e. repairing, updating with new stuff, etc? I am pretty handy. 2) Is this a good price?

Thanks so much for this awesome forum.

If the running gear is good (engine, transmission, suspension, etc) and the interior is not trashed then I would say it is a good deal. You now have the opportunity to put newer technology into the vehicle: compressor fridge, solar, updated batteries and charging system, etc. All the things you see talked about on this forum.

Welcome aboard, it should be a good fix up. There are some highly knowledgeable and talented folks that are always ready to assist you. When you get a chance, look thru the Subjects and the various responses, maybe some will help you in your work. Ron
