99HD with virtually new battery. Takes and holds a charge but when vehicle sits for more than a week it will go flat and need to be jumped. I did put a quick-disconnect on it and this avoids the problem but it is just a band-aid on a symptom.
Did some troubleshooting today with a friend and, using a test light, we found there is a short to ground somewhere. We were able to isolate this to the circuit coming off the battery and going into the cab. We tried to isolate which circuit was causing the problem by pulling and replacing the fuses one at a time to see if the light would go out. The only fuses I could find were the 20 or so in the block above the driver's left knee and the three in the small box to the right of that.
We were not able to get the test light to go out by pulling any of these fuses so I am stumped at the moment. Would appreciate any advice from anyone who has conquered such a challenge.
