When I picked up my 2017 Airstream after having some work done on it, the battery was dead. We used the battery buddy button and it started up but after getting down the road apiece, I noticed there’s no power to the cabin. Unbeknownst to us the previous owners had upgraded to lithium batteries.
The mechanic told me battery buddy is not compatible with lithium batteries and it blew a fuse that is very hard to get to down in the cabin battery area. Wanted to share this information as it was very inconvenient and kind of a hassle to get to the fuse. Be careful with your battery buddy if you have this situation.
The mechanic told me I should change it out for a switch and if the battery dies, just turn the switch on for 10 minutes or so and then turn it off and try to start engine.
