2010 Leisure Travel Van Free Spirit finds new owners

Greetings from Flagstaff, Arizona, where my husband and I are new owners of a 2010 Leisure Travel Van Free Spirit, an upgrade from a 1989 VW Vanagon Westfalia. Before that, a truck-camper and before that 2 earlier VW buses with homemade camping amenities.

Thanks, Marco. We're having fun outfitting the van and planning future road trips. Our first modification is leveling our sideyard for parking. Future van mod is to add solar.

I emailed an inquiry to Leisure Travel Vans, and found out that our 2010 Free Spirit is one of only 10 of that model made that year. So we're feeling very lucky to have found it.

Yes, our 2010 Free Spirit has a 200w solar panel mounted behind the air conditioner, Midnight Solar mppt Charge Controller, and Trimetric battery monitor. We opted to not add an inverter since our camping style doesn't require electric appliances. DIY installation.

are you able to provide your DYI on your Solar install and where you bought it from.
we just recently did some boon-docking around a local town in the States for a couple fo nights and noticed that the battery was drained and got recharged when we were driving around. but would like to have a solar to recharge so we can stay at one location longer
