It's built on a cutaway chassis not a van. Class C. It looks boxy like a Class C. This is a tired old argument.

I haven't seen one of those before and it's a really nice looking RV.

Agree that anything that uses a cutaway chassis should be considered a Class C, but PleasureWay lists these as Class B and RVT.com lists these and the Chinooks as Class B's. I then went further and tried Wikipedia and various articles there seem to indicate that a Class B doesn't have a full bath! (So much for Wikipedia!)

I don't want anyone to feel picked on here because clearly there's room for disagreement, but I would probably at least call this a B+.

It is a really nice looking rig, though.

Pleasure Way calls it a B+............another word for a class C.
Isn't a class B a van and if the back is cut off with a camper section mounted isn't that the definition of a class C.

From that angle. Looks like a C from the first two angles.

But who am I to say.....my campervan looks exactly like a passenger van

Is this a class B or C?

Pleasure-way Excel? If so it is built from a full bodied van, so would be a class B. The giveaway is having the original rear doors still there.

The Excel and the Roadtrek 210 from the 2000s to the present were commonly referred to as "wide body class "

I am trying to understand, with no success, why so much precious oxygen is being consumed over such a completely useless subject.

Because companies insist on calling 11'+ high x 8' wide x up to 32' long cab chassis (Class Cs) as Class Bs because maybe they don't have a cab over sleeping arrangement. So it is simpler and less confusing to stick with a Class B as originating from a van chassis. I think there is only one Class C on the current market under 24' and that is the big boxy Pleasure-way Plateau XL.

They have nothing in common with Class Bs as to designing in a small space, mostly sliding doors, rear double doors, storage, wet baths, and generally no sliders. There is a blur in Europe but then with our highway structure and open roads they mostly like won't market a cab chassis that duplicates the size of a Class B in America. The old style van Chevy and Ford chassis that do so will be pretty much history.

I was curious about this so I looked around a bit and found a few (including 24'0" length, ok strictly speaking not under, but half of them might be rounded up). There could be more.

Gulfstream BT Cruiser 5120 (22'1")
Coachmen Freelander Ford Transit 20CB (23' 7")
Winnebago Minnie Winnie/Spirit 22R (23' 10")
Coachmen Freelander Ford 350 21QB (23' 11")
Thor Four Winds/Chateau Ford 350 22B/E (24' 0")
Dynamax Rev 24 CB/RB (24'0")
Winnebago Fuse (24')

That's a search for what? Class Cs. The Gulfstream company has passed off its BT Cruiser series as Class Bs up to 32' with slides both sides and looking like a Class C. That's why I draw the line.

Yes, you were talking about class Cs, so that's what I searched.
