Default Roadtrek Introduces the all New N6-Active on new Nissan Van

Press Release from Roadtrek as follows:

Roadtrek Introduces the all New N6-Active on the New Nissan Van

Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA – December 2, 2011 - - This week at the National RV Trade Show in
Louisville, Kentucky, Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. introduced the N6-Active, a new category of activity
vehicle.

The N6-Active is a game changer. An SUV with a refrigerator, sink, microwave and exterior shower. A
minivan that can tow 9,000 lbs. An SUV that gets up to 18 MPG. A people hauler that you wouldn’t be
embarrassed to drive. An RV you can drive everyday. It’s a great alternative to a large SUV, crossover
or minivan for an active family.

The N6 is built on the new Nissan NV 2500 series van. At 20' 1" long, it’s based on the same platform
as Nissan’s Titan full-size pickup truck. With more legroom, elbow room and headroom than an SUV or
minivan, it has more than enough space for 7 people including an easy to access 3rd row that is actually
big enough for 2 adults or 3 children.

You’ll have more flexibility to eat, watch videos, play games or just relax. When you’re not driving, the
4 captain seats swivel to surround an expandable table that can be set up in two different locations.

The N6 makes a great home base - for the beach, kid’s soccer tournament, secret fishing spot or football
game. Get out of the heat, get out of the rain or get out of the cold. Make lunch, watch a movie, play
Xbox, charge your iPad or take a nap.

The built-in kitchenette lets you eat and drink on the go – anywhere – anytime – on your terms. When
you’re on the road and it’s time to stop for a bite, you don’t have to rely on fast food. Skip the drivethrough
and find a nice spot to enjoy items you picked up at a grocery store. The N6 helps you save
money and supports a healthy lifestyle.

A pop up roof allows full standing height inside and sleeping for two adults or kids. The 3rd row seat
reclines to a full-length double bed. Sleep a fifth across the two front seats on our optional folding
mattress. Wouldn’t it be great to always have a comfortable bed for you or your young children to nap -
wherever you happen to be?

Want that great tailgating spot at the stadium? Get there the night before. Then avoid the exhausting
drive home by staying overnight and driving home in the morning, refreshed - and with less traffic.
The N6 is well equipped with the latest audio, video, navigation and phone electronics and support for
your own tablets.

Because the N6 meets the definition of an RV, the interest incurred to finance its purchase can be tax
deductible as a second residence. (In U.S.)

Dealer reaction to this new model was excellent. “We sold 14 the first day of the show!” exclaimed
Roadtrek co-chairman Jeff Hanemaayer.

Base MSRP is USD$67,470. The N6 is now in production and will be available to see at the first
dealers this month.

At least this one is actually designed and targeted at the "soccer mom" crowd, rather than morphing regular models that way and taking away their utility as a real camper.

It said "get out of the heat", but I don't see an AC unit.

That is an awful lot of money, however, for what you get.

Looks nice for someone who wants to have wiggle room when traveling. As for us, we'll stick with our 04C190P. A REAL RV.

We've been thinking about downsizing to something a bit smaller. We really only sleep and use the fridge, toilet,
batteries, furnace, bed, TV, and storage in our van. We might appreciate, and be better off with something simpler
like this N6. It sounds like we could get even better mileage, with a smaller sized vehicle, with less bells and whistles,
perhaps a built in fix for mountain driving with a better power to weight ratio?. As I said, we don't use many of the
systems we have right now to their full extent. A Roadtrek pop up? Cool!
I wish there were some more details about the actual equipment and specs on the thing.
I just checked Roadtrek's site. Nothing yet.

See you all at soccer practice?

The most important things for us would be a king size bed, the toilet and shower. We rarely use the micro and never use the 3 burner stove. Only HAD to use the geny a couple of times, but we are glad to have it. The Nissan looks like a really nice vehicle for a family traveling. Our neighbor took a trip with 4 kids, and they were stopping every 50 miles for a potty stop. They said they would never travel again without an RV.

Can't see where they'd put the M/W except maybe under the sink area, at the rear?
Does it say it's got a toilet? Another issue, as privacy might be difficult in such a small interior.
I'd guess a porta potty, which would work. I don't see any privacy shades or curtains in the pics of
the prototype.
It says it's 20' long, which is longer than our 190, but I guess the proof is in the seeing one of these up close.
It might make a good weekender, or tailgater as the write up at Roadtrek.com and booster suggest.

"I don't know what's wrong, I've got the accelerator pedal to the mat, and we're barely doing 30???"
(once again, Mike has forgotten to lower the pop top to it's locked down position before hitting the interstate)

I seen one from afar at RV World Nokomis, but didn't bother looking inside. It has clean lines, etc., but unless it has a toilet, how can they call it an RV? Without the toilet, it is no more than a fancy runabout....but it would fit in the garage!! Happy New Year All?
