Safety Sensors on Travato 59K/RoadTrek Zion
Has anybody attempted to put (aftermarket) parking sensors on a Travato 59K or a Roadtrek Zion?
Context: All the Travato 59Ks I have seen do not have rear parking sensors. Even the new ones.
The backup camera that comes with the Travato (at least from what I have seen) do not have the steering interface integrated.
I know for sure, that the Promaster has a steering interface that you can plug into, and Metra sells some kind of harness kit to make use of this.
Now, somebody must have figured how to make a Travato as user friendly as a minivan.
Hence The Questions Are:
a) Has any Travato 59K owner managed to put in rear parking sensors?
b) What's the approximate labor cost?
c) What is a recommended brand for these rear parking sensors? Is Metra good?
d) Were the wires routed just along the bottom of the chassis?
e) Has anybody put in a rear backup camera with integrated steering controls?
f) Brand/cost for a truly "modern" backup camera?
g) Will the backup camera monitor (which I think fits a standard 2 din radio) that comes with the Travato display the steering control?
h) Has anyone put in a lane departure warning (even if OEM) on a 21' promaster chassis?
I know this is a lot of questions, but any help is greatly appreciated.
BTW - I tried to use the thread tools on this site, and did not find any answers to the questions - with respect to the Travato 59K or course.
Many thanks
