I got a bunch of stuff for my new B that I think you might find handy (all of which I got on Amazon):

Collapsible stuff - you can get most anything in a collapsible form these days. They are made out of silicone.

I also got a new grill (Grill 2 Go) and folding table. Here is a pic of my new "minimum setup" stored in the back. This is the least I'll carry on any given trip.

Looking at your rear cargo area with the foldup bed got my Mcgyver brain started. Could a guy add a set of fold up steps like they sometimes use on truck campers that would allow easy entry/exit to rear of the Travato. This could lead directly into a free standing screen tent that would attach to the Travato with some type of vestibule, increasing your floor space by a gob! Of course the screen room would have 2 doors for easier access. I know they make side tent/screen products for other B's but haven't seen one for a rear entry. Some thought on the vestibule would have to have genny exhaust and bug infiltration in mind, but its a start. I have enough to do on my rig and here I go trying to Mcgyver some ones other rig, go figure!

I see no reason why you couldn't have a tent attachement made that snaps onto the van and extends the living space. A raised floor would just be a matter of some aluminum panels and supporting legs. Such an apparatus would probably take a significant amount of your storage space most likely.

Personally, I find the van to be roomy enough as it is. If I needed a screen-room, there are plenty of gazebo type stand alone screen tents out there on the market to choose from.
