I recently bought a 1988 "fixer-upper" Itasca/LeSharo. I bought it fairly cheap and have done most of the needed cosmetics myself. At prest, the RV is with my mechanic. One hiigh-ticket item needed is a new windshield. I had two people come out to give me estimates and one was $1200 and the other was almost that. The cheapest windshield I have found is in Phoenix at $750, which is still very steep. I was told the price is high because the windshields for these rigs are special.

I talked to the Winnebago parts people about this and told him that sounded like a load of "stuff." He said, no, that is right.

So now, I am starting to contact salvage yards and such. Does anyone reading this have any suggestions as to where I might pick up a windshield for my 88 Itasca Phasar? I'm told that the windshield would be the same for the years 1983 to 1992.

When I owned my 86' LS, I had to have the windsheild replaced because of a crack. My insurance paid most of the cost minus my deductable of abouyt $150.00. Total cost was about $800 done by a windshield shop in Nashville, TN. They ordered the glass and installed it. Check with glass shops.
