Default Wood paneling question 05RTC

What type of wood is in the Roadtrek vans?

The glass in the AV cabinet fell out (and didn't break!). I want to put in a wood door, as I have the frame. I could also consider a cork or a chalk board insert. I believe the stain is Golden Oak.

Any other ideas to consider ?

Don’t know for sure the wood - I think I’ve heard birch or maple. Surely someone knows.

Since you asked for additional ideas…

The previous owners of our 99D190P painted all the wood white. They didn’t do a perfect job, but it looks good and really brightens up the space. It’s also easy to touch up scuff marks & random scratches with a little extra paint every year or two.

They also added some faux-marble film to cover the countertop, which is beginning to show some wear.

In any case, enjoy your RT!

Cheers from a windy campground in Rawlins WY!
