Default The walls

I recently purchased a 1988 roadtrek. I do not care for the fabric color on the walls. I’m considering replacing it altogether. I am wondering if anyone has done this. Was it difficult. How to remove the panels of fabric..would also like to beef up the insulation..! Thanks in advance.

Yes, I used thin plastic from a plastic shop and cut with a jigsaw. cut to fit from a paper pattern. Lay thin foam on floor. Spray wood with adhesive then Drop it on your foam (flat drop). Cut edges. Then spray foam with adhesive and drop it on the uncut fabric. Let set. Cut with extra around edges and glue down with adhesive or stronger glue. This is deceptive because walls are curved thus material too tight if all glued. You have to play with it and get disgusted and redo a bit. Also you need pre set holes to line up with stays that may be in wall. I had none so I made them and epoxied to the wall prior to everything. I covered mistakes with vinyl covered buttons off amazon. 3 years later great hold and no problems. I just did one wall where I had removed a wardrobe. Got this off a video site that I don’t have. Messy and frustrating but it works and looks nice.
