Default Best Golf Club Storage Options

Would like to hear from the Class B golfers on what you’ve done for golf club storage within your RV during lengthy trips? My wife and I both golf.

I’ve looked at both roof (Thule, Yakima, etc.) and hitch (Stowaway, Thule, etc.) storage boxes but am undecided. Leading candidate right now is the Stowaway based on my initial research.

We have a Winnebago Travato 59K. Thanks in advance!

I can't help with specific options for the Winnebago Travato 59K but will mention that I found a place in my van where I could place two golf bags upright and strapped to the outer wall of a closet. I used two ratcheting cargo straps to secure them so they wouldn't become projectiles if I had to brake hard.

Is there space at the end of the passenger side bed in the Travato 59K for a custom golf bag holder?

Thanks for the suggestion/feedback... we’ve (more specifically, my wife) concluded that the golf club bags need to be outside for long trips. Also, need security for the clubs when we opt to do other things that take us away from the camp site.

That’s one of the primary reasons I’m thinking either rooftop or hitch style cargo box of some type. Could also store inflatable kayak, grill, etc.

I’ve reviewed some of the previous threads on the various cargo boxes but I haven’t seen anything that addresses golf club storage.

Did you find a satisfactory solution for your clubs. We are new owners of a Travato 59G and planning a 2 month trip with our clubs and looking for the best option to store and carry clubs, preferably not on the roof.

We have wondered if the factory bike rack could be used for a platform to attach a trunk for the clubs. Says it has a 100# carrying capacity.
