transmission computer

New to the fourm. does anyone know where to buy a transmission computer for a 1996 rialta. has anyone else had this problem? AAmco is working on it but can not locate a replacement.

The TCM for the transmission is not to be found. It was programmed by VW just for the Rialta. Here is a repair shop that may can rebuild the TCM: http://www.autoecu.com. Another R owner has used a TCM from another VW but the shift points are not the same for the heavier weight R.
