There are some photos showing the bathroom. One I hadn't looked at shows that the bathroom actually has a fridge and microwave, so I guess you could say it does have a galley. There is a toilet that certainly doesn't look like a cassette, so i presume the waste goes to a black tank. But I see no specs on capacity.

Here is a link to Sportsmobile sample floorplans on a short Sprinter. With Sportsmobile you can alter the floor plans to your liking.

I second your sentiment. Can you imagine driving that Midwest Automotive princess to a trailhead?

I could be less doozy if some homework was done before posting questions.

I notice that they use my definitions and that page does cover it well. But, I don't see any option for a black tank anymore.

Wonder how long their wait list is these days.

I didn't dig into, but kind of assumed a "marine" toilet angled like in the floorplan would be a black tank model. Of course I could be totally wrong on that..

On the toilet option page, it only has porta potty (electric or manual) or cassette... which has a standard toilet.

I went back and did find this quote on a marine toilet shown on an extended Sprinter.

Quote:
The Marine Toilet can be located in the rear with a larger holding tank under the van’s floor option. The spare tire will then relocate to van’s rear bumper or door

Does the term "marine" ever get applied to cassettes?

A manual marine toilet usually means a toilet with integrated hand pump to pull sea water and flush waste to a holding tank with the same pump.
Electric marine usually means macerator marine toilet.

Both of them have waste water going to a waste tank which could be discharged with a macerator to seawater if far from shore or pump-out in port. I have never seen a cassette on boats during my boating times, but cassettes could be used in Europe and could be gaining popularity in US on small boats.

I wouldn't even use it to refer to an RV toilet. And it wouldn't exempt the use of one of the cassettes that pull from the side of the van. I don't see it as requiring a standard black tank.

I wonder why Sportsmobile uses the term?
