Default In need of some advice for first purchase

I'm looking for any advice I can get for purchasing my first rv. I'm looking in the 22 to 24 foot range. I don't need ultra luxury. But, I don't mind paying for quality.

I guess my first question would be Ford or Mercedes chassis?

Next would be brand quality.

Renegade Vienna or Villago?

Thor has a few nice models

Coach house ?

Pleasure-way?

Triple-e?

Itasca?

Winnebago?

Not sure were to look first, or which ones to stay away from. Any advice I can get would be much apritiated.

In that size and style, my choice would be Leisure. They do a very nice job.

+1 on Leisure Travel Vans. I've only seen one Unity and a Serenity and both were very nice. They have a long waiting list for a reason.

I'd agree that the LTV's are very nicely done. They have a great quality reputation. But they have a price to match and the wait list on a new one is 9 months if you order.

Thor has got to be the poorest brand that exists. I'd avoid them (and any of their subsidiaries) like the plague. They are cheap though and there are a ton on the used market.

Coach House is a great brand too. Their designs are kinda dated, but they are tanks by all accounts. Pricey.

Winnebago is a mid-range builder. Their B+ rigs have some nice features, but don't have much CCC left on the Promaster chassis. Their Sprinter rigs are very nice and you can get top end features like full body paint and a deisel generator. Their prices are on the lower end for Promaster, mid-range on Sprinter.

Pleasureway is another in the mid-range. Good reputation for quality. Prices also in the mid-range.

Good luck in your search.
