1997 dodge 5.9l/360 american cruiser xr2n1 class b (houston, tx)
We have upgraded to a bigger RV and are selling our trustworthy AMERICAN CRUISER Class B RV.
The RV was built on a 1-ton Dodge B3500 chassis with a 360 5.9L engine. This is the stronger engine with more torque, ideal for the mountains, highway accelerations or to tow a trailer or boat.
The coach has all the amenities you may wish for, and are all in good working order:
4 Captains chairs in the front for comfortable traveling for 4 persons with safety seatbelts.
The front chairs can be swiveled to create a nice seating area with a small coffee table.
- 2 burner LP Gas stove
- Vent hood with light
- Electrical (12VDC and 110VAC) hot water dispenser faucet.
- 2-way (LP Gas & 110VAC) Dometic Fridge (refridgerator with small freezer)
- Fire-extinguisher
- Perfectly running Onan MicroQuiet 2800W Gas Generator with 384 hours
- A/C in the back that runs on 110VAC when plugged into shore power, or can be used when running the generator.

- Fan-tastic Roof fan
- The van has 3 sky lights (2 vents, and a roof window with shade in the front)
- Fresh water holding tank with electric pump
- Ample storage in the overhead bins, in the pantry cabinet and underneat the dinnette seats.
- The rear passenger captain chairs can easily be removed for more space when traveling with only two people. (We didnt use them so took them out when traveling)
- The Dinette in the back converts into a bed for two people to sleep in. The front seats can be converted to two single beds if need be.

Recent technical improvements:
- NEW 12 Volt Coach Battery (2017)
- NEW Front suspension ball-joints upper and lower (2017)
- NEW A/C compressor (Dash A/C front) (2016)
- NEW Power steering box (2016)
- Reconditioned Automatic Gearbox (2016)
- NEW Rear tires (2017) - (Front tires still have a lot of life left)
This van has done 115,000 Miles but is in a very good technical condition. We have taken good care of this Class B and it has served us well. If it weren't for having bought a bigger one, we would not hesitate to take it on another long trip. (Last year we took it from Houston to Florida and back, and from Houston to the great plains and back).
Of course this van is not new. So it does show some signs of use. E.g. some very small dents in the right back corner, you can see it in the picture if you look closely.
Asking $13,000
Please contact me for any questions, additional pictures or to come see it.

Just wanted to let y'all know that a sale is pending.
I will keep the post down until the sale is final.
I have had a tremendous interest into our American Cruiser. People were lining up to buy it and even while the sale was pending and i had money down already I got a couple of calls of people who wanted to come and pay cash before the actual buyer would come pick it up... Crazy..
Anyway, it's sold now.. we will be using our Leisure Travel Freedom from now on and I hope to keep reading and posting to this nice forum every now and then.
