Default Solar panel on a 2004 Roadtrek 190P

The previous owner of my Roadtrek had a solar panel installed on the roof. I think it is a 15 or 20 watt panel.

It's a pretty neat job. No extra holes in the roof. They used two of the air conditioner cover holes.

The wiring goes into the a/c area, then down the side.

One hole is drilled for the wires behind the door.

The controller is mounted in the "trunk".

Default Installation of Solar Panel

Marko - I have looked numerous times as the way your solar panel is installed; we have been thinking of getting one installed. The folks we want to do ours said he will have to drill a hole in the roof....not a chance!! I mentioned your set-up and told him to take a look and then we would talk again. Yours is by far the neatest install for a RT I have seen to date. Thanks for posting, Ron

Default

I'm glad I remembered to get photos of it.

It was a neat install. I really liked that there were no new holes drilled into the roof.

I think it was done somewhere in Oregon. I don't have the papers now.
