The conversion can be done with or without the lift. My 210 was already lifted and Advanced matched the front lift to the existing rear lift.

I was told that the conversion components add 310 lbs to any Chevrolet Express 3500 chassis.

As far as Quigely is concerned, I looked at their site and they also do the IFS & torsion bar setup - LINK. This torsion bar setup is used in many of GM's 2500 & 3500 series pickup and some of the components are made for those vehicles.

The shifter is right there so ya gotta step over or shift it all the way forward, no big deal to me.

The crossmembers are removable- these folks have been doing this for a long time (the owner started doing 4WD conversions back in the 70 to Chevy Luv pickups....

Dana 70S rated at 8,580 lbs LINK

Increased load capacity of 2,496 lbs for the installed axle.

Looks good.

Best, and most important thing about the conversion is that you like it. I would like the extra ground clearance, but I'm ok so far, as long as I'm cautious.

What ramps are you using? I need a pair of ramps and worried about them being strong enough to hold a heavy rv. Can you tell me the brand and model? Thanks.

I use a set of 16,000 lb Rhino Ramps, had my Roadtrek front & rear up on them without any issues.

https://www.amazon.com/RhinoGear-119.../dp/B0117EESNC

I think that I bought them locally at Advance Auto Parts.

I'd bet that that would total an easy 400 lbs right there.
What tire size are you using and what's their max allowed load?

Thanks for the link. Those are higher rated than some I've researched and a better price. I'm going to order a set.

The tires that I am using right now are BF Goodrich KO2 T/A Radials

275 /70R17E 121 /118R...P/N 85924 - Rated at 3,195 lbs @ 80 psi each

After I weigh the vehicle I may go to an aftermarket 18' wheel (rated at 3,600 lbs) and BF Goodrich 275/70R18 125/122R P/N 45062 tires rated at 3,640 lbs...another possibility is a 285/65R/18 125/122R P/N 16168 rated at 3,640 lbs...piece of mind and extra safety margin like the Dana 70S axle.

Dana 70S axle specs clarification-

After looking around the web some I found that the 70S is generally rated at 7,500 lbs in GM applications.

Hondo - nice install on the 4x4 front axle.

I noticed in your photos there is a shaft on back side of the macerator pump motor going to opposite side of the van. Looks like a nice feature to clear a clogged impeller on the macerator. Did that come from the factory or did you add it?

That shaft can be nice if the impeller jams, which doesn't really happen often but does happen to some folks who aren't very careful what goes down the drain.

The downside of the shaft is that it replaces a sealed end of the the motor with a hole and shaft in it, so water can get into the motor and corrode it. It is especially true if you get into water that is up to the running boards as the motor can wind up submerged half way.

When did RT start providing a macerator and is the current design identical to the original production?

The decal is nice and I really like how the van sits up. The ride height looks great so much better than the pic on page 1 - http://www.classbforum.com/forums/f8...html#post60171

Yeah, it's much more usable now for off pavement driving. I took it up a steep gravel road to a high altitude campground today, some large holes & rocks, drove it up slowly and it trucked right on up in 4WD- HI

I can't get over how much better it handles with the stock steering knuckles, I'm SO happy with the handling and ride!

Awesome Class B inside and out. Love the interior format. Looks like 6 adults could eat dinner in there! Thinking of football, that would be great for tailgating.

Removed and replaced the Chevrolet 3500 door emblems today with a set of 3500 HD emblems, much cleaner look - ( I may remove the HD letters, still not sure if I want them on the Roadtrek)

Before -

After -

I bought the 4X4 emblems on ebay.

Upgraded the TV & DVD player today....

The original TV, Samsung 19' flat screen circa 2005 -

The Jwin DVD player -

Replaced the tv with a Vizio 24 inch LED Smart TV, Model # D24-F1.... 1080P, Smart Apps & built in Wifi, $140 at Best Buy -

A new Blu-ray player, Samsung model BD-j5100/ZA, has smart features as well, $60 at Best Buy -

A great feature is that I can control the DVD player with the Visio remote, must be the HDMI connection between the two...

I bought a ONN Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 13"-32” TVs, $20 at Wal Mart -

It has adjustable side to side and vertical tilt, strong & easy -

What motivated me was an upcoming trip with my girl...going up to Mt. Rushmore and then over to Devils Tower in Wyoming....and a trip to Devils Tower would not be right unless you had seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which my girlfriend has not.

I also ordered the Blu Ray DVD and we'll watch the movie in the Black Hills before we drive to Wyoming....
