I went to Kouchibouguac National Park today to ride my bike and enjoy the weather. The pre-season entry fee was $3.90 which I think is half price.
The campgrounds are not open yet but they will be later this month. Overnight parking (for a fee) in a parking lot is available.

There are no mosquitoes at this time of year. 8)

There is 60 km of bikeway (37 miles) in the park and the signage makes it easy to know where you are and which way to go

Scenery is great.

I only saw a few people in the park. Campground was empty (not open yet).

Actually almost empty. I spotted this guy:

and I saw him later as I was leaving

I'll download that now Mike, thanks.

I really enjoyed Kouchibouguac. May is probably a great time.

I was there once in late September and the mosquitoes were a real problem. I didn't think I'd ever go back. I'm glad I did though.

We hate (as many do) bugs.
The parking lot camping is only between October and April, but I'm sure there are other options nearby
if you're out there at that time. The day access rates aren't the worst we've ever encountered.
It looks like a place we'll try next time we're out that way (when Quebec finishes re-doing Hwy 132). :D

If you're not familiar with POI-Factory stuff, it's pretty much "as is", and should be vetted before you
waste a lot of time running it through the loader, only to find syntax and other problems. I've even
found files with the long/lat numerics in the wrong columns, and had to clean them up myself.
Just a word to the wise from someone who has experienced it. :wtf:
